BBS Stadthagen

Berufs bildende Schule, which seems to be 70% trade school, 20% community college and 10% high school is where our hosts attend and the Deutsch Schule responsible for the German side of the exchange program. This seems to be the most common school and career path in Deutschland.

We started by meeting in the school´s small cafeteria and met our old classmates, including some previously unkown people from Mt. Hood Community College and first-year German, as well as a girl from Central Oregon Community College that Unicorn and I took to immediately named Heidi. She is on the left while Unicorn is on the right in the following three fotos below. The men in the background of the first are from the left Deutsch Englisch Lehrer Hans Harold, meine Deutsch Lehrer David Miller (we call him Herr Müller), and fellow studente Bill Shenk.

In the background in the below photo are from left Mt. Hood student Tanner, Herr Müller, and the obscured faces of Larry and Linda.

We are seen drinking champagne and orange juice because we were all offered the drink by the principle (seen standing in the photo below) as a celebratory ritual of our arrival inj Stadthagen.

From left above: Tanner, Taylor, and again the older couple (who met in my German class and are now about to get married) Larry and Linda.I also took pictures of die toilette:

The following fotos are of various rooms that train studts for their careers, which they often apprentice for, inclduing pipefitting, painting, construction, metal-working and others (Tanner is blinded by my camera´s flash in the foregournd of the first one while Jeff examinse his own camera behind Tanner).

In the foreground of the above photo from the left: Unicorn, Jeff and Kami.

After touring the school, we walked directly to Stadthagen.
